With all the recent announcements surrounding Telltale Games, one more won't hurt. Today, the studio announced that they are partnering with Skybound Entertainment and "pinball masters" Zen Studios to create a pinball table based on season one of Telltale's The Walking Dead.
In typical Telltale fashion, players will be making the decisions, having pinball enthusiasts deciding the fate of members within the group, looking for supplies and finding their way through a zombie invested area, among other things.
Steve Allison, SVP of Publishing at Telltale Games said, “Players once again get to step into the shoes of Lee Everett and protect Clementine as all the major events of season one play a role in the first ever pinball game that features choice and consequence gameplay." What more, the table features the original story dialogue from season one's cast.
The team at Zen Studios is stoked to be working with Telltale as Mel Kirk, VP of Publishing at the studio said, “Zen Studios is a huge admirer of Telltale Games, and we truly cherish the opportunity to work with such amazing visionaries,” adding, “Working with Telltale’s The Walking Dead is a hallmark moment as we continue our quest to create the most memorable and authentic pinball experiences.”
Exciting stuff. No really, I might just have to play a pinball game now. Here's a trailer showing the slightest of details surrounding the table, with Clem's tree house, the Travelier Motel and many familiar faces making an appearance.
If you're lucky enough to be attending E3 this year, you can check out The Walking Dead pinball table at Telltale's booth. If not, The Walking Dead pinball table will be available on Zen Studios' pinball platforms for consoles, PC and mobile devices later this summer.
