Said to be "the revival of point'n click," 2013's Finding Teddy is a point and click adventure game originally released on iOS and Android devices. The game eventually made its way to Steam Greenlight and due to overall positive reviews and a strong fan base, Finding Teddy was released on Steam in December of 2013.
As mentioned in NoobFeed's review of Finding Teddy, the game is often frustrating and may lead to a feeling of defeat. However, once the basics of Finding Teddy are discovered, the game is a delightful example of how a simple video game can yield just as many hours of entertainment with a higher replay value than that of the largest AAA games.
After an adventure through a strange world in search of her teddy bear, our heroine changes. She seems to have learned a lot from her journey and has grown in more than one way. This transition ends the game with the conclusion of Finding Teddy hinting at a sequel.
LookAtMyGame has been quiet about the speculation of another game until this week. On Monday the publisher announced a sequel to Finding Teddy, along with a teaser trailer.
It looks like Finding Teddy may be seeing some changes as the main descriptor of the second game appears to be action-adventure with LookAtMyGame saying "FT is now an action-adventure game." Does this mean the developers are straying away from the game's point and click/puzzle roots? It's unclear if Finding Teddy 2 will exclusively be an action-adventure game, however, we're keeping our eyes on this one and will keep you posted with further updates.
Finding Teddy 2 is set to release this fall for PC, Mac, Linux and mobile devices.
