With no surprise, this summer The Novelist found itself on the much coveted list of Steam Greenlit games. Since then the developers have been busy; attending events, tweaking the game and readying the final product for release.
The Novelist follows Dan Kaplan, a struggling author trying to balance his career and family. For the summer the Kaplans are visiting a remote coastal home, unaware that they are sharing it with a ghost. Taking on the role of the ghost, players read the families thoughts, uncover memories and meddle in their daily lives. Players decide how Dan's life evolves, and the Kaplans respond and react in accordance.
The Novelist is available on December 10 for PC/Mac via Steam and can now be preordered through the game's official website. Preordering The Novelist gets you the game at a discounted price and includes the soundtrack as a bonus. With the discount the game will cost $14.99 and will be priced at $19.99 through Steam.
