Sony has announced that a animated film based on the PS3 game, Heavenly Sword by Ninja Theory, will be arriving on 2014.
Heavenly Sword launched 2007 and stars a red-hair heroine, with a fierce temper, on her quest for revenge against the invading King Boham and his army. Nariko must wield a weapon called the Heavenly Sword. This ancient weapon once belonged to a deity and can never be wielded by a mortal without slowly and inevitably killing them. Nariko must now race against time to avenge her clan before her life is irreparably overtaken by the omnipotent Heavenly Sword, and fulfill a prophecy that was intended for a man.
Nariko will be played by Anns Torv and King Boham by Alfred Molina.
