Saints Row IV is batshit crazy, in a great way, and if you haven't picked this up yet, you are missing out. The over-the-top open world sandbox game, which sold over a million copies in its first week alone (triple that of the sales figures of Saints Row The Third), has released two new DLC packs this week: The Presidential Pack and the Grass Roots Pack.
The Presidential Pack, which was also a pre-order bonus for those who bought the game from GameStop, provides players with masks and costumes of four presidents: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, George W Bush, and Barack Obama. As you can see in the image below, the masks are very much satirical caricatures of the actual presidents.
The Grass Roots pack is a little bit, nay, a lot more country, as it takes the redneck up to 11. Your character can be decked out in new costume pieces, such as overalls, daisy dukes, cowboy hats and more. The pièce de résistance on this particular pack, however, has to be the Plunger Launcher, which, as the name implies, shoots plungers at your enemies, with, depending on how you look at it, rather appropriate, or inappropriate sound effects. This truly is the game that keeps on giving.
Both pieces of DLC are $2.99 separately, and are available on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Steam. If you had bought the Season Pass for 9.99 previously, both dlc packs are free. I can't wait to see what they come out with next.
