Assassin's Creed is a staple game release, the franchise is known for taking us through reimagined parts of history, with unique storylines, settings and mechanics. However, as of late, many longtime players have felt that the series had lost touch with what made it great and then came Assassin's Creed Mirage. The game is an attempt by developer Ubisoft to take the franchise back to its roots and we finally have our first look at the system requirements.

It should be noted that another thing that Assassin's Creed is known for, besides wrist blades and white hoods, is heavy system requirements. Historically, many of the games tend to feature high graphical fidelity that push PCs to their limits. Assassin's Creed Mirage's predecessor, Assassin's Creed Valhalla was even rated one of the most demanding PC games of 2020, and it would seem that Mirage has somehow topped Valhalla in terms of Graphic requirements. Assassin's Creed Mirage demands nearly 2GB more GPU VRAM across the board. As for the other requirements, the game will require at least a 2017 mid-range CPU, meaning either an Intel i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600.

Despite the hefty requirements, Assassin's Creed Mirage will still only require 8GB RAM, but as for everything else, Assassin's Creed Mirage has somehow beat Valhalla in terms of requirements. The game even specified an SSD as mandatory, a concerning trend we first saw with Starfield. It has even been revealed that Ubisoft will not be offering troubleshooting support if your PC rig uses the standard HDD instead of a solid-state drive. It is only natural that AAA games are becoming heavier on rigs, aside from Starfield requiring an SSD, CD Projeckt Red even upgraded the system requirements for Cyberpunk2077 to require SSD, meaning that the game no longer supports the use of HDD.

However, there is some silver lining to the situation and that is if you were successfully able to run Assassin's Creed Valhalla, then it is very likely that you will not have any issues running Assassin's Creed Mirage, even with the changes to the system requirements lining up with the gap between the two games' releases. You would probably still be able to run the game smoothly with 60fps if you are playing on a high-end rig from around five years ago. Assassin's Creed Mirage will be releasing later this year on 5 October 2023 and will available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and will be receiving an iPhone port in early 2024
