There was certainly no shortage of announcements made by Sega during the recent Xbox Showcase. We got to see a new teaser for Like a Dragon 8 along with the announcement of Persona 5 Tactica. However, probably one of the biggest announcements made was the remake of Persona 3, in the form of Persona 3 Reload, which sadly, was leaked only a few days prior to the showcase.

Both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica were rumored to be in the works for quite some time now, particularly during the Persona 25th anniversary celebrations, where many fans had suspected that Atlus, who is owned by Sega, would make the announcement of the long-awaited remake of Persona 3. That wasn't the case but it would seem that the rumors did indeed bear fruit.

However, fans were able to get a glimpse early of Persona 3 Reload, as the trailer for the game, along with the trailer for Persona 5 Tactica were accidentally leaked early via Atlus' own official Instagram account. Though the trailers were swiftly taken down, it wasn't enough to stop fans from downloading them and recirculating them online. Despite the mishap with the trailers and both titles becoming the worst kept secrets of the Xbox showcase, both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica have finally been officially announced.

As for the trailer of Persona 3 Reload, the trailer opens up with Aegis staring out, she then turns back to face the SEES group, which includes Makoto Yuki, the protagonist of Persona 3. After the iconic scene, we are shown clips of our protagonist going through their various daily activities at Gekkoukan High School, as well as shots of them exploring the Tartarus dungeon. Probably one of the most stunning things shown in the trailer is weirdly enough, the game's UI. The main menu is the best example of this and shows Makoto Yuki diving into water to bring up the options.

Something interesting to note is while the game sticks close to the original, which was first released all the way back in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, is that the remake appears to feature an entirely new voice cast. Many of the members of the new voice cast have prior experience working for other games such as Fire Emblem, Genshin Impact and even Final Fantasy. One of the most notable changes is that Aleks Le will be voicing protagonist Makoto Yuki and will be taking over the role from Yuri Lowenthal, who even took to Twitter to congratulate them on the role.
