World of Warcraft has been around for quite a long time, and in that time has introduced many memorable characters. In the latest patch for the game, Patch 10.1.5, it would seem we will get to see some cameos of many of the series' characters, but not as we know them. The patch for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will be from one of the many alternate realities of Azeroth.

Patch 10.1.5, also known as Fractures in Time, currently does not have a release date, however, we do know that the patch is currently available in the World of Warcraft Public Test Realm. The version that is in the Test Realm, is said to include most of the content that will be coming to the patch, including repeatable content coming to Eon’s Fringe in Thaldraszus.

As you can probably tell by the name - Fractures in Time, the patch will include various quests that will have players coming and going from different timelines. The timelines you will visit will not play out the same way as the timeline we've come to know and love and will instead give us a view at an alternate look at the game's story and its history.

Thanks to data miners, we now know what NPCs we will be encountering on our time hopping journey including Vereesa Windrunner, who has become the Banshee Queen instead of her sister, the famed Sylvanas. Uther the Lightbringer has now become Uther the Deathbringer. Both alternative versions of Vereesa and Uther are found in the Undead Scourge-controlled version of Azeroth now referred to as Azmourne.

Patch 10.1.5, Fractures in Time won't just include alternate timelines and time hopping, another thing that players can look forward to is The Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon. This megadungeon will focus on the conflict between the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights. The dungeon will also include boss fights with many of the setting's important historical figures.

As you can probably tell we don't currently have a release date for Patch 10.1.5, Fractures in Time and with all the content coming in the patch, it's likely we will have to wait a while. If you're interested in trying out World of Warcraft and Dragonflight, both are currently available now on PC.
