The upcoming Star Wars game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed from March 17th to April 28th.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to 2019's well-received Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Combining parry/dodge-based Soulsborne combat with Metroidvania exploration, the games follow Jedi Knight Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan) and the crew of the Mantis as they fight to survive in a galaxy ruled by the Galactic Empire. The games are set between the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, with Cal being a survivor of Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and LucasFilm Games, and published by EA, Jedi: Survivor will feature "more expansive destinations to explore" and "evolved combat and traversal". This includes multiple lightsaber stances, a blaster, and a grappling hook.

Taking to Twitter, Respawn announced that the game has been delayed 6 weeks "in order for the team to hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team with the time they need, and achieve the level of polish [the] fans deserve." Fallen Order was released in the same year as Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, but with no new film on the horizon, Jedi: Survivor's closest link to other Star Wars media is the recent Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Pre-ordering the game will get players cosmetic items based on the series as both titles are set in the same year.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on April 28th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
