The long-awaited JRPG One Piece Odyssey released a brand new story trailer today, and it looks like the fans are going to be playing a beloved arc from the original manga: Alabasta! In the newly released trailer, fans have noticed so many scenes that faithfully reproduce some significant scenes from the anime series. It looks like One Piece Odyssey will allow players to return to Alabasta with the beloved Straw Hat Crew, and relive their memories in this fan-favorite setting.
The tale of Alabasta is only a small glimpse demonstrating how One Piece Odyssey is uniquely rooted in canon. Fans are excited to see how this particular arc will relate to the bigger story of the game. One Piece Odyssey comes out on January 13 of, 2023 for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is currently available for pre-order here.
But what is the main plot of the game? In One Piece Odyssey, players follow Luffy D. Monkey and his crew as they are transported to a new island where the team sets out on tasks and engage in thrilling turn-based combat against tough opponents. One Piece Odyssey introduces an original plot and new characters created under the direction of Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the popular manga series.
The voice acting cast of One Piece Odyssey is also a wonderful piece of news for the fans, in that the original Japanese cast is voicing their respective characters!
