MultiVersus is an all-new free-to-play platform fighting videogame that is currently being developed by Player First Games. Warner Bros. Games has announced the Open Beta, currently available in USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The game is currently available for download on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and PC, with complete support for cross-play and dedicated server-based rollback netcode for strong online competition.
MultiVersus brings together several well-known heroes and personalities that players may join up with or fight against in epic battles. Some of these characters include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn (DC); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Jake the Dog and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz, Bugs Bunny (Looney Tunes).
Cooperative gameplay is heavily emphasized in the game, and each character is equipped with a unique fighting technique that sets it apart from other 2 vs. 2 games. As a result, fighters may use a variety of movesets that they can mix and match with their opponents to get the upper hand. It's possible to make the impossible doable with unexpected team combinations, such as Wonder Woman combined with Shaggy's sandwich projectile and Arya Stark's face-swapping talent teamed with Superman.
These options are available to players when it comes to MultiVersus gameplay. It includes the two-player team-based cooperative mode, the 1-on-1, and 4-player modes, bespoke online lobbies, The Lab (tutorial mode), and local play matches that accommodate up to four players. The game's multiplayer battles may take place in a variety of reinvented settings, including the Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), Scooby's Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo), Sky Arena (Steven Universe), and other well-known locations.
The Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Editions of MultiVersus Founder's Packs are available for purchase and include different levels of in-game content. In addition, a Preseason Battle Pass is now available, enabling players to perform challenges and earn in-game bonuses. In addition to a free option, a premium alternative requires in-game purchases. Preseason Battle Passes are available now until August 8, and a Season 1 Battle Pass will go on sale on August 9 for the remainder of the season. Player's progress and achievements will be preserved for the game's duration.
