During today's Focus Showcase, the developers of A Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to the widely praised video game A Plague Tale: Innocence developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, revealed the game's official release date as October 18, 2022, alongside an extended gameplay trailer. Pre-orders are now available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
In this new extended gameplay, you will accompany Amicia and Hugo as they attempt to escape from an enormous quarry overrun with troops who are desperate to arrest them. Fortunately, the pair has many fresh ideas up their sleeve and isn't afraid to get their hands filthy when the situation calls for it. Watch how everything turns out, and be ready to go on their gut-wrenching trip into a harsh and magnificent world, where you will learn the price of trying to save the people you care about as they are engaged in a desperate fight for their lives.
During this short teaser, players had the opportunity to take a better look at the Collector's Edition of the game. Two of the game's soundtracks were played during the countdown leading up to the showcase. The soundtracks featuring the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and created by Olivier Derivière are also available for purchase digitally, directly from the composer.
Lastly, PC gamers will be overjoyed to learn that Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment are collaborating with NVIDIA to include NVIDIA RTX capabilities into A Plague Tale: Requiem. These features will consist of ray tracing and NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling. NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is a highly regarded AI-powered technology that improves performance without sacrificing picture quality.
On October 18, A Plague Tale: Requiem will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms, as well as the Nintendo Switch in its Cloud Version. Day One access will also be available for the Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC.
