Developers, The Dust from Poland have released the first gameplay video from their next game based on the famous Polish fantasy novel by Jacek Piekara titled "I, the Inquisitor."
The mysterious action-adventure game "I, the Inquisitor" occurs in an alternative reality 1500s. Jesus was not crucified in this world. As a result, Jesus broke free of his crucifixion and wreaked havoc on those who didn't accept him as the Messiah that he was. It has been centuries since this blood-hungry Church took root in Europe, but today an army of zealous Inquisitors violently enforce their creed.
Mordimer Madderdin, an Inquisitor in the service of The Holy Office, is the protagonist. In the desolate town of Konigstein, players will be forced to cope with the numerous sins and misdeeds of the populace while also coping with an ancient evil that's attempting to take root around them.
Investigate the mystery to learn more about the individuals and the crimes they're suspected of committing. To get the information players need, they resort to deception or intimidation. Finally, make the tough moral decisions that will determine the futures of people players are investigating. As the religion demands, will you grant them pity for their mistakes, or will you punish them with a righteous vengeance?
I'm the Inquisitor will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One this year, while a specific release date is yet to be confirmed by The Dust.
