Mac Users Get SimCity This June

Purchasing the game will allow users to play on both Mac and PC.

Today Electronic Arts Inc. announced that SimCity will be available for Mac users this June. Purchasing the game will allow users to play on both Mac and PC, via Origin, with the capability to access cities across both platforms. If you've previously purchased SimCity on PC you will receive a free download code for the Mac version through Origin.

Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA's Maxis Label stated "SimCity is coming to Mac on June 11 and one purchase will give you both the Mac and PC versions. You only need to buy SimCity once to play together across the same servers, regardless of which version you’re playing," saying "We didn’t want to make any compromises when it came to the Mac so we created a native version that is optimized for the hardware and OSX.”

SimCity will be sold as a digital download through Origin and other online retailers. SimCity is available on Mac on June 11, 2013.
