OverBorder Studio and Team17 announced today that the brutal action-RPG Thymesia would be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 9th.
The disease has ravaged Hermes, and players take on the role of the enigmatic masked protagonist Corvus, slaying the merciless foes who now roam the once-thriving metropolis. Corvus will use the resurrected plague-powered weapons from fallen enemies in his quest to find the truth and save Hermes. He will utilize them to unleash deadly assaults and unearth the truth concealed in his memory.
In Thymesia, players can seize diseases from enemies and weaponize them. They customize and enhance Corvus' basic moves and plague weapons for deadly impact. The world in Thymesia is a dangerous and savage place, and the game brings a dark and menacing background and lends Thymesia an air of mystery and intrigue. Enemies who have been altered and corrupted by the disease are exceedingly aggressive and will challenge players at every step.
The Thymesia Steam Trial is available until Monday, May 9th, for those wishing to test their skills against the forces currently doing devastation on Hermes before the August release. Team17 has published a release date announcement trailer to confirm the release.
