Marvel's Avengers is getting a new playable character since Spider-Man (which was added in late 2021), and this new character is reportedly to be Jane Foster. Jane Foster will also be a part of the most recent Marvel movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, and now that she is a part of the game, the fans are guessing that she is here to stay.
While the newest update, Update 2.4, will focus on fixing the bugs, the next update will bring the character into the game, says Square Enix in a blog post. "Our Hero designs are driven first and foremost by their core comic book identities, so, as a fellow wielder of Mjolnir, her suite of abilities will have a lot in common with the Odinson's; however, she will also have elements that are distinctly Jane," the studio adds. Furthermore, the studio announced that there would be more news about her later in the year.
Fans aren't shocked by this news since the arrival of Jane Foster has been rumored for a while. Another one of these rumors was She-Hulk, so the fans are left wondering whether she-Hulk’s rumor will come true. With all these new patches and updates, it looks like the developing studios of the game are apologizing to the fans after the disastrous launch and harsh criticisms that the game faced.
