CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 was undeniably one of the biggest games to come out of late. Although the game disappointed many fans at first, the developing studio is confident that they will better the game and pay their debts to all the dedicated fans out there. Accordingly, there have been many patches and updates since the game came out, and most of the bugs are now gone. Furthermore, the Steam reviews of the game have been updated to “Mostly Positive” with more than 430.000 reviews. These are all good news for the players, but is Cyberpunk 2077 all that the gamers are going to get?

According to the studio, the answer is no. A few days ago, CD Projekt RED released their plans for 2022, and at the very top of the list, there was a Cyberpunk 2077 expansion. However, these plans apparently did not hold because the studio just announced that these plans had been moved another year, and the new expansion is expected to arrive in 2023.

What’s more, the CEO of the studio, Adam Kicinski, said that most of the team is working on this new expansion. Although there is news that a new Witcher game is in the works, it is not prioritized. This is great news because, after the notorious release of Cyberpunk 2077, it has been proven that the studio needed to prioritize it over any other projects. It is not surprising that the fans are happy about the delay because none of us want CD Projekt RED to disappoint us again. Maybe this new Cyperpunk 2077 expansion will take the game to a new level!
