The highly praised and universally loved survival video game series Subnautica (2014) is getting a new sequel after the last installment Subnautica: Below Zero (2021), which also managed to win people’s hearts. Unknown Worlds, the developing studio of the series, has recently opened a job listing to develop the new game. The studio is reportedly looking for a Senior Narrative Designer.

According to the game studio, they are looking for someone who “will collaborate closely with the team to tell compelling, dramatic stories in the context of the game experience. This also defines the history and lore of a new science fiction world and its alien inhabitants.” Again, according to the same job listing, the game is in “early development”, and the team has not decided on which direction to go.

So, we can say that a few minor details have also been revealed in the job listing. Fans seem to be excited about this piece of news as it looks like the game is getting a larger world this time. So many people loved both the initial game and the sequel; let’s wait and see if our love will carry on into this new game or not!
