Content censorship isn't anything new, for example, the recent release of Lust from Beyond: M Edition is a modified version of the original game with the graphic sexual content censored or changed. South Park: The Stick of Truth was also altered to accommodate certain regional restrictions along with specific scenes in both Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers. Now Martha is Dead will feature modified content for PS4 and PS5 versions of the game.
The developers and publisher made the statement official but stated the game will release regardless on February 24th but only digitally as the PlayStation physical release has been delayed because of this. Sony does have rules regarding certain subjects involving sexual content but will give passes to certain games such as The Last of Us Part 2 which features a full sex scene between Abby and Owen.
If you want the uncensored version you'll need to get the Adults Only PC release.
