Visceral Games has announced that Dead Space 3 will use the features of Kinect for Xbox 360. Dead Space 3 is the first co-op game to feature voice commands on Kinect.

"The all-new Kinect functionality further immerses players into the Dead Space universe by allowing players to use simple voice commands to help a friend from the onslaught of horrors and thrills that awaits them in this spine-tingling new adventure."

Commands can be used on either co-op or single player with voice commands such as "Find Partner!" Fire Stasis!" and "Attack Enemy!" Using voice commands will make co-op easier for players to share health and ammo, find objectives, and revive each other.

The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op.

Choose to play alone or choose to play with a partner. Either way Dead Space 3 will be a unique experience with the use of Kinect.

Dead Space 3 is available on February 5th, 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more information visit deadspace.com.

  • Personally,i think deadspace should remain single player period. the creepiness and scary aspects of the game is exactly that. You are supposed to feel this helplessness and void around you since you know that there is no one else there that can help you. at least not help you fight monsters.  adding a buddy just takes all this away and it becomes gears of wars all over again. bah, i hope im wrong about it. still looking forward to the game.
