Today Motive and EA held a special presentation to showcase early Alpha footage of Dead Space Remake. Offering fans insight into what they can expect from the iconic survival-horror franchise.

Dead Space Remake,NoobFeed,

First off, Motive showed off some early footage of the game including visual upgrades to the textures. Taking assets from the original game Motive improved the textures to give it a next-gen look. Isaac also looks different, having a more bulky frame from his original design and more realistic movement.

Motive showed off some early combat but only in a testing arena. Showing off the Pulse Rifle and Plasma Cutter. The test subject was a Slasher and Motive showed off how the muscle from the creature can be shot off. With bone exposed this makes it easier for Isaac to cut them off, making specific body parts more vulnerable to attack and encouraging shooting in the same specific area. The developers added that body parts could also remain attached and hang onto the Necromorph body if not entirely shot off.

Z-Gravity has been improved and taken directly from Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3. Players can navigate the Z-G environment easier and these sections will be added to other areas no present in the original. Providing more ways to explore iconic areas.

Motive did address paramount questions such as Isaac being voiced and microtransactions. Gunner Wright will return as Isaac but he'll only talk in specific sections of the game. Lastly, Motive confirmed there will be no microtransactions in the game.

Many were disappointed that this wasn't current gameplay or an extensive look but this was likely to show fans what they can expect. After the notorious and infamous EA Anthem E3 2017 reveal it's likely EA doesn't want a repeat of that. Instead, deciding to show off early concepts to give the eventual big reveal more credibility.

Dead Space Remake is in development with no release date.
