Released in 2017, Guerrilla's Horizon: Zero Dawn is often referred to as one of the best PlayStation exclusive games, and for good reason. Due to its massive popularity, the game has officially migrated to a PC launch this weekend, and fans are loving every second.

Before its release this weekend, many fans had already pre-ordered the game months before. Despite Horizon's overwhelming success and beauty on the PS4, players were excited to see the extent that PC specifications could improve the graphics and performance of an already well-polished game.

Horizon: Zero Dawn, Bow

Available on Steam and Epic Games store, Horizon accumulated 56,557 players on the first official launch day. That number is very impressive, especially on the launch day. However, the game's popularity, fluid gameplay and immersive story have been drawing fans in since its PlayStation release, so it is only acceptable that PC players jumped on the opportunity to play this masterpiece.

However, no title is perfect, and Horizon's PC launch has encountered a few speed bumps over the past couple of days. Many players are experiencing lag issues while playing, as well as severe performance issues during pre-launch. Fortunately, Guerrilla has already released a launch day patch to solve some of these technical problems.

To celebrate the game's official launch, a site known as Green Man Gaming is offering a 10% discount of the game, giving it a new price of $44.99 with the code AUGUST10 at checkout. This code is only available until August 14, so be sure to grab it while you can!

For those who don't know, Horizon: Zero Dawn is centered around a futuristic world, where machines have developed an animal-like sentience. Because of this new hostility of machines, the remaining people have reverted to pre-historic tribal weapons, such as bows and spears, using the parts of the machines to improve their arsenal. Play as Aloy, a young woman who does not know her parents but was raised by an outcast. When she comes of age, she embarks on her journey to learn the identity of her parents and ultimately, herself. However, the world is full of threats, human and machine alike, since Aloy is not part of any specific tribe.

This open world adventure is unique in many ways, but is best experienced through play and personal experience. Horizon: Zero Dawn is available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
