Today during the Summer Games Fest July Showcase, the developers behind the Overcooked series, Team17, revealed their next steps for bringing Overcooked to the next generation of consoles: Overcooked: All You Can Eat.
Overcooked: All You Can Eat is a combination of Overcooked and Overcooked 2, as well as all of the additional DLC content for the games. All content from both games, remastered in 4K, will be available. The games will also feature cross-platform multiplayer across every system. This was the largest reason that the developers said they needed to take Overcooked’s content and bring it to the Overcooked 2 engine. The original Overcooked game did not support online multiplayer, which was fine, but to fully realize their dreams for the series, they needed to send it above and beyond.
The game will also feature new content, as well as a newly designed assist mode, which gives players a slew of options to make the game easier for those with disabilities that would otherwise be unable to play the game to the fullest extent.
