Well, that was fast. Today Microsoft confirmed to The Verge that the company is halting production of Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition consoles.

“As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition,” says a Microsoft spokesperson in a statement to The Verge. “Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”

Recent reports of storages of the console have been surfacing and this is the reason behind that. I guess if you want players to get the latest console just make sure the older one is less available.

Microsoft does have a huge presentation this July 23rd featuring Halo Infinite. With many assuming both the game and console's official release date will be provided. Along with new gameplay footage of Master Chief's next adventure.
