With COVID-19 still causes calamity around the whole shipping has been delayed to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. This led many to speculate the next-gen consoles would be in short supply because of this but apparently its the opposite. According to an article by Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki, Sony is doubling the production of PS5 units in preparation for the upcoming release this holiday season.

The report indicates that Sony expects to assemble "5 million units" by the end of September and another 5 million between October and December. These are bold clams considering, again, COVID-19's hold over the world. However, Sony has had ample time to adjust their plan so perhaps they've made the necessary preparations.

As of now, Sony has not revealed a price for the console. With a digital and disc drive model option many are speculating the consoles will cost between $400-$500 depending on the model. Sony has a strong lineup of games already with Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and Demon Souls Remake to name a few. Not to mention all the other games such as the expected but not confirmed sequel to God of War.
