Return to the world of Fallout once again, but this time in a whole new way. The popular RPG is set in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland and allows players to explore this new world and learn what life is like outside of the vault. Bethesda, the creator of award-winning games like Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, purchased the rights to the game in 2007, turning it into what it is today, and creating Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76. Despite the recent dislike towards their most recent title, Fallout is still a widely known and loved franchise. That being said, when reports of a Fallout series surfaced from Amazon themselves, the studio did their best to emphasize their loyalty to the games.

The producers of this new show will be the well-known creators of Westworld, Johnathan Nolan, and Lisa Joy. The producers are ecstatic about the upcoming show and hope to bring their best game to the table.

In an interview about the upcoming show, the Westworld creators said this about the new Fallout series: "Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios." Based on their emphasis on partnering closely with Bethesda, the Westworld creators are intent on having their new show be as similar to the games as possible.

So many other video games have attempted to debut on the big screen and failed, but it seems that the producers of the Fallout show have thought long and hard about their decision. Concerning this, executive producer Todd Howard said: "Over the last decade, we looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen. But it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right."

Although plot details and casting have yet to be revealed, these statements reveal that this show has been in the works for a while, but is only now solidifying its plans. Despite whether the show adapts one of Bethesda's beloved games or creates a new story based in the Fallout universe, fans eagerly await more details as they come along.
