Monster Hunter: World gives the player tremendous freedom of how they wish to tackle the various tasks given to them. However, sometimes all that freedom can lead to difficult decisions about what to dedicate slots too. Eventually, you're going to run out of slots to farm items, especially at the biological research center. There's a way to add additional slots though.
2nd Slot
First, you need to gain access to a 4-star quest and begin the one called Persistent Pests. Slay the 14 monsters as dictated by the quest to unlock the slot.
3rd Slot
You need to access 7-star optional quests. Pick up the Talons of Ire and Ice quest and complete it to unlock the third and final slot.
Monster Hunter" World is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will launch at some point in autumn 2018 for PC.
