You've started Shadow of the Colossus and if never played the original game or the HD remaster you're probably going to have a hard time. Use our tips and you'll breeze through each colossus.
Use Your Sword
The Forbidden Land is huge, with large wide open spaces and various regions. You can only hunt one colossus at a time, so don't try to head to a different target. To locate the colossus hold down O to lift your sword and rotating the light in different directions to find the right path. The colossus' direction will produce a straight line.
When fighting a colossus use the same technique to locate the weak points. Just like traveling shine the blade until it produces a straight line.
Watch Your Grip Meter
Wander isn't the most athletic warrior, but he can climb. The grip meter on the lower right-hand side is practically a second health bar since it determines how long Wander can hold on. Once depleted he'll let go of whatever he's holding. If you need to replenish your grip let go of what you're holding on to.
Eat The Fruit
Grip plays a major role throughout Shadow of the Colossus. You do increase the strength of your grip as you play but there's another way to increase your grip. While traveling through the Forbidden Land you'll encounter trees bearing fruit. Shoot them down and eat them to increase your grip.
Agro Will Find You
Say you've jumped from a high location and now find yourself stranded in an unknown area. Instead of restarting the game or trying to get out on foot call Agro. Wander's amazing horse will find you, though it may take time depending on where you are, no matter where you are. I discovered this back on the PS2 version of the game where Agro found my location after I got lost, despite me leaping off a cliff by accident and somehow surviving.
