Zombieville USA is a simplistic side-scrolling shoot-em up game that sees you taking control of a hunter whose sole purpose is to rid the town of your typical flesh-eating zombies.

The controls are as easy as they come, a quick tap to the left or right of the screen and you’ll move in that direction, whilst tapping the middle will fire your selected weapon. Speaking of weapons, there are a whole array for you to create zombie carnage with. The chainsaw is my personal favourite, but you also have a flamethrower, machine gun, shotgun, and many others to experiment with.

In between all the mayhem you can enter houses and such to pick up extra ammo and money to help you along your journey, you can also strangely pick up money off of the zombies you kill, which in turn buys you new weapons to help kill them all over again.

The game doesn’t feature a multiplayer or online component whatsoever, but does offer three difficulty levels - Easy, Normal and Insane - across its nine levels and that may keep you coming back for more

There is a ‘Lite’ version of the game available if you want to dabble with it before you make a purchase, this is highly recommended as it gives you a very clear idea of what you’ll be spending your hard-earned cash on.

Price: £1.19 or $1.99
