Today’s Nintendo Direct was full of notable announcements, featuring new game releases, new information on already announced titles and brand new updates. If you happened the presentation we’ve constructed a list of everything shown for your reading pleasure.

Star Fox Zero on Wii U Bundled With Star Fox: Guard

Originally shown at E3 back in 2014 this mini-game has been repurposed as a stand alone title. Both games will be bundled together at retail stores for $60. The titles will also be available as digital downloads, the main game costing $50 and Guard set at $15.

Star Fox: Guard will introduce a new character, Slippy’s Toad’s uncle Grippy. The game will follow the same tower defense and multi-camera setup found in the demo back in 2014. Using the GamePad player's use Slippy's security defense system to defend against enemies while shooting them in real-time using the GamePad to aim. Player's can also created their own challenges and play online against others.

More Updates Coming to Super Mario Maker

More free content is coming to Super Mario Maker, giving creators more tools to craft insane stages.

Coming March 9 the updates include:

- An alternate Wall Skewer form when you shake a Thwomp from Super Mario World.

- Keys that open specific doors that can be attached to an enemy.

- Pink Coins

- New ranking system coming to Super Mario Maker's site

The update will also introduce Super Expert Mode, giving those who thought the game was too easy. You must clear Expert Mode to gain access to this new difficulty, which gives a random assortment of 6 levels from the toughest categories. Those who suceed will gain access to new mystery mushroom costumes.

Fire Emblem and SMT Crossover Game Coming to the US

Announced back in 2013 was a Fire Emblem and SMT crossover called Genei Ibun Roku #FE is now it’s coming to the US.

 If you thought the latest Kingdom Hearts games had a long title the US version of this game is called Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE. Insane right? It’ll launch on the Wii U in the US on June 24.

New Paper Mario Video Game Coming to Wii U

After experiencing the 3D world in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Paper Mario has returned to his own universe for a new RPG called Paper Mario Color Splash.

Taking place on a new environment called Prism Island Mario but return color back to the land. Equipped with a Paint Mario  can return color to the world bit by bit and a new card system allows for devastating attacks during battle.

It’s set to release sometime in 2016 and will feature the classic gameplay from past Paper Mario games.

3DS Disney Art Academy Release Date Confirmed

Today Nintendo revealed a new Art Academy game coming on May 13.

Called Disney Art Academy players will learn how to draw and color popular Disney and Pixar characters. This includes the cast of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse and many more iconic characters. 

While details are limited we can expect similar features from past Art Academy games such as sharing your work with others.

Bravely Second: End Layer Beta Coming Early to Best Buy Stores

If you’re a fan of Bravely Default and want access to the demo of its sequel early, which will allow you to carry some items over when the game releases, you might want to reserve your copy at Best Buy.

Those who paid for Best Buy’s Gamers Club Unlock premium membership will gain access to the demo of Bravely Second on March 7. Everyone else will have to wait until March 10.

Bravely Second: End Layer is set to release on 3DS on April 15. 

Hyrule Warriors 3DS New Characters, DLC and Release Date Confirmed

Nintendo has revealed that the port of Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS will release on March 24.

Nintendo confirmed that 4 post-launch DLC packs are scheduled for the entirely of 2016. Specifics on pricing and content were not provided, but those who invest in the season pass will gain access to an exclusive Wind Waker Ganondorf costume.

Both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game will include Medil from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for free. And those who pre-order the game in the US will get a special Hyrule Warriors home menu for the 3DS, those who don’t will have the option to purchase it on the eShop.

Hyrule Warriors is currently available for Wii U and will release on 3DS on March 24.

Monster Hunter X Is Coming to the West With A New Name

Monster Hunter X was released last year in Japan but Nintendo has confirmed that an English version will come this summer. Instead of being called Monster Hunter X the game will be available under the name Monster Hunter Generations.

Those who played the previous game, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, will receive an unspecified bonus. Those wanting to try the franchise out for the first time can pick up Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for $20.

A special Marth Armor set will be available in Monster as well.

Samus Makes a Cameo in Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Samus Aran will make an appearance in the upcoming 3DS game Metroid Prime: Federation Force, although this will not be a playable character.

Federation Force was first announced at E3 2015 will massive negative reception from fans. Many complaining about the game’s lack of traditional Metroid elements and straying from the original formula.

Since the recent release of the latest trailer featuring the game after the Nintendo Direct announcement the game continues to face harsh criticism.

Kirby Gets a New Game With A Giant Robot

The final announcement was a positive one, a new game featuring the lovable pink ball Kirby.

Starring in a new game called Kirby: Planet Robobot Kirby will use his notorious ability to shallow enemies whole and use their powers and adds a giant robot that can change into up to 10 modes. The game will feature a four-player boss battle mode called Team Kirby Clash where you and 3 friends join together in a cooperative mission to take down some of the toughest bosses in the game and earn trophies. Each player will take on a specific role cooperation is required to succeed. Completing quests will give players experience to get stronger and will support download play for those without a copy of the game who wants to play. 

Scheduled to launch on June 10 the game will release alongside 4 new Amiibos. Featuring Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee these Amiibos will unlock specific abilities for Kirby to us in battle. 

Other News:

- Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge is a free 3DS and Wii U game coming this March. Each Amiibo used in the game has specific powers and levels they can only complete.

- Series 4 of Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards are coming June 10 along with two variants of the Isabella Amiibo.

- SNES games coming to 3DS eShop with 3DS exclusive features starting today, with more coming March 24 and April 14.

- Fire Emblem Revelations will be offered for $20 for those who own copies of Birthright or Conquest. Two new DLC maps are now available at the Dragon's Gate option.

- Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will be available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop this summer, and the first game will now be priced at $10.

- Rhythm Heaven Megamix is coming to the west in 2016 for the 3DS.

- Project Treasure will have an open beta in the west soon.

- Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Launches on the Wii U on June 24.

- A new horde racing solitaire game called Pocket Card Jockey will release in May on the eShop for the 3DS.

- Splatoon update coming March 8 include improved matchmaking for Ranked Battles, new Splatfest elements, and improvements to certain gear. Weapon sets and balancing issues will release in 2 parts, the first coming in April.

- Lost Reavers open beta coming April 14 to Wii U and releasing on April 28.

- Pokken Tournament Avatar customizing options will be available.

- Dragon's Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is a remastered version of the original game will release in 2016.
