Achievements are becoming more and more integral in this gaming era, and depending on what trophies or gamer points a game offers can make or break somebody’s purchase. We thought we’d focus our attention on the PlayStation 3 in this feature, highlighting some of the easy platinum trophies you can bag yourself:

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
Ever scored a last minute goal? Come from behind to claim victory? Or bagged yourself some hat-tricks? This is how easy most of the trophies found here actually are. The first few can be gained in a match or two, depending on playing difficulty and your skill level.

There are some tough ones thrown in, such as win 75% of your last 20 online matches, especially when the majority of players are really good or use cheap tactics. That’s not to say you can’t boost via friends, but we’re not promoting it.

A few of the others are quite time-consuming, namely the Master League and Become a Legend ones, but it’s more perseverance than anything else.

Tekken 6
The Tekken games are renowned for being quite difficult to complete, but that’s certainly not the case with the latest installment. Most of them are gained through the stories single-player Campaign Mode.

The others are all pretty quick and easy to bag, even the online ones. You don’t even need to win the majority of matches; the online ones just require the actual participation and nothing more.

Probably the toughest ones are the final few Campaign levels, one called ‘What a Nightmare’ in particular, as the stage sees you swarmed by a deluge of enemies that quickly overwhelm you if you’re not careful. Gaining a good understanding of what methods work should pull you through.

Band Hero
The rhythm game trophies are usually pretty tough unless you’re a master of the drums or the guitar. Most of the time you’re required to hit some impossible solo without missing a note, or struggle with insane drum beats on Expert+ difficulty.

Band Hero simplifies thing’s by awarding trophies for thing’s such as collecting stars, meaning that you can set vocals to beginner and simply hum into the microphone to complete. There are also a string of trophies awarded for finding secret notes, but this is as easy as completing each of the songs on the game with 5 stars on any difficulty.

There are a few annoying trophies that require 4 of the same instrument to be plugged in, so unless you have a few spare USB microphones handy or a lot of friends with rhythm games then this one may trip you up, otherwise easy-peasy.

Total Platinum Trophies: 3
Estimated Time: 15 Days

The best thing we can recommend is to rent as oppose to buy, that way you save money and simply swap games upon completion. Look out for further parts in this on going feature soon, in which we’ll list even more games featuring easy platinum trophies.

  • If I were play PES on PS3, I would've unlocked all those trophies you talked about :D And, I agree with you. The Nightmare Train is damn hard. But that's about it. Tekken6 is the easiest of its series.

  • I've seen some friends with the Tekken 6 platinum and I agree that it's a quick one. About PES, a bit more time consuming but duable. If you know how to play it, that is. :P

  • It's kind of funny how you say "That’s not to say you can’t boost via friends, but we’re not promoting it."  even though you're promoting people rent games to get an easy platinum.

  • hahaha. I laughed when I read that too :P

  • It can take a lot of time for PES2010 to get the platinum and plenty of help if you wanna unlock the 75% wins in your last 20 matches. Band Hero is easier I must say but you can't unlock the platinum if you don't have all the instruments. It may sound crazy but you can't unlock the tutorial trophy and the 100% vocalist if you don't  have a microphone and the drums of course.
