Control is full of optional content and some are easily missable. In the Research Sector, you find an Altered Item in the form of a Mirror. Here's how to unlock the item's secrets.
From the Control Point inside the Ritual Division head to the front of the room. On the left side is the Synchronicity Lab. When inside, head down the slope on the right side to get to the main lab. Inside, you'll find the Mirror's containment facility. Here's how to unlock it.
On the left side the slides should be up, up, and down from the wall back. And on the right side down, down, up. This will unlock the Mirror.
Head inside and you'll see everything is backwards. Go into the main lab and start interacting with each of the glasses in the room. A reflection of Jesse will appear. The third time doing this and esseJ will appear.
esseJ has 3 forms. The first has esseJ shooting rockets. Just head to the back of the room and up the stairs. Use the environment for cover and return fire. If you're confident, you can melee the rockets back.
Next form esseJ will start to deloy a shield and throw items at you. Use the same strategy. Use the stairs to avoid being hit when objects are being thrown and when she has her shield up, destroying it before she can get close.
Last form is the most dangerous. Now esseJ will start to levitate and become more aggressive. Manage your energy and if esseJ gets close, throw stuff at he. At close range she cannot dodge, especially in closed areas on the map. But keep your distance as she has rockets and a shotgun at her disposal.
Once killed, you can leave the area. When outside, before you leave the area, look from the stairs leading outside to the main hall. You should see a room labeled 1 full of mannequins. One of them as a new outfit for Jesse.
