Life is Strange 2 Episode 4 ended with a profound moment between Sean and Daniel. Daniel, now completely enraptured by the Reverend's dogma, is pulled back into reality thanks to Sean. The 2 leave for the border with the help of their mother and now have to find a way across. Let's predict what will happen during the finale.
The FBI
Maria Flores is one of the first characters you encounter during Episode 4. She's bent on getting hold of Daniel and while it's not certain if her intentions are humble she is committed to getting the job done. It's likely that she's aware of their desire to cross the border, as she most likely did a background check and knows where their remaining family is located.
With this, she can get to the border following Sean's escape and wait for him to arrive. Leading to another massive barrier Sean will have to overcome.
Sacrifice
Sean's willingness to die for Daniel shows how committed he is to keep him and Daniel together. But how far is he willing to go? Taking into context how the previous games ended, it's likely that only 1 major decision will exist and will have Sean choosing to be with Daniel or sacrificing someone close. With both the original Life is Strange and Deck Nine's Life is Strange: Before the Storm ending with 1 important choice.
My guess, if the FBI hypothesis is right, that Sean will have to decide whether to sacrifice someone close to him to get across the border, maybe his mother, or decide to go to prison. Having Daniel go into foster care but sparing the other person's sacrifice. It's a long shot but as we've seen in past episodes, this series has been notorious for having heavy choices. Especially at the end.
