7th Layer Podcast Episode 1

Welcome to the first ever working episode of the NoobFeed’s 2nd other official podcast, the 7th Layer!

By Cian, Posted 02 May 2011

Hey, NoobFeeders!

Welcome to the first ever working episode of the NoobFeed’s 2nd other official podcast, the 7th Layer!

Before you begin listening to this episode, we would like to clarify what’s been going on with the podcasts in recent months. To put it simply, we have been encountering some serious technical problems just trying to record, finalize, and actually get the files to work and post them for your listening pleasure. Unfortunately, it has not been going the way we had wanted them to, and we have been since unable to provide you with the content we should actually have been accomplishing since we started NoobCast’s inaugural episode last March. To date this is the ONLY 7th Layer podcast to work, and for that, we sincerely apologize. In regards to the podcast contest winners (intro/break/outro music and podcast title), we will let you guys know about it in some way or another. Thank you for reading and hope you understand.

So without further ado, here is the 7th Later podcast!

In this First edition of the 7th Layer, writer David Gabriel of the NoobCast, community manager Cian Crowdy, and fellow NF user and amateur reviewer, Dan Casey (PvtCaboose) discuss the entire Playstation Network fiasco, some news, Gears of War 3/Magicka-related contests, Portal 2, L.A. Noire, and other upcoming games we’re looking forward to for the summer, as well as answering questions from you NoobFeeders.

If you want to participate on the contests, be sure to check in the NoobFeed Competitions part of the forums on how to get in on the action. You never know, you might win some cool stuff! For free, no less!

Happy listening, NoobFeeders!

Cian Crowdy, NoobFeed.

  • Hey @Cian @PvtCaboose @azn_pride. I've really enjoyed the podcast. It was pretty good. There were some disturbances with the sounds but it was understandable. The discussion was pretty good and well coordinated. It's a shame that we didn't ask many questions for you to answer. Next time when you are working on a podcast, let me do the work on gathering questions for you. You know I'm good at gathering stuff ;D Looking forward to the next podcast and good luck to PvtCaboose and his girlfriend for a happy moving out.

  • @Amaya - thank you for your feedback - I recently picked up a couple USB mics and we are using dan's mixer he got a while go- so he tested it out and it works fine - so we will be recording again on Sunday - so if you have any questions send them in ( either to cian@noobfeed.com or in the podcast thread on the media page)

    Thanks again Cian

  • Wonderful podcast. Long waited too. I was hoping you guys would talk a little bit about what happened regarding the podcast naming contest and what not. It was a good discussion over the PSN issue and I agree with you guys that those who suffered deserved ;P
