Devil May Cry V's Nidhoggs are one of your most valuable items but the parasitic fiend Nidhogg only wants you dead. This is the first boss encounter for V and not something you want to take lightly. Here's how to defeat Nidhogg.
First off, before the fight grab makes sure you have your devil trigger. V's trigger should be used more times than Dante and Nero since it charges quicker.
Nidhogg mainly uses 2 attacks, a spinning jab that he launches towards you from the ground and a huge ground pound. What's most dangerous is his plants stems that attack individually. Your goal should be to take these out.
Shadow and Griffon should be attacking 1 at a time. When one is down try and stun another one before using V to kill it. These things regenerate and the rate will increase as Nidhogg loses damage. Once all 3 are down use Nightmare to cause major damage and attack all out. Only use Nightmare outside of this moment of weakness when necessary or you know you'll get another full charge before Nidhogg is stunned. Nidhogg won't change his strategy, use just more plants, 3 max, and attack more aggressively using the same tactics.
