Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 is the latest installment of the Horizon series, and it sees the game move into Mexico. And, because the Horizon collection sports open-world play, it makes for a fantastic experience where there’s tons of racing on the agenda, but also car culture, which is huge. What Forza Horizon 5 presents is the chance to explore over five hundred cars to modify, incredible visuals, and miles upon miles of track to race along. And, if all that wasn’t enough, there are the photo and creator modes to get lost in too.
Wreckfest
Wreckfest tears up the script when it comes to racing games because it's more akin to a demolition derby than anything else. Other drives crashing into you will be seriously annoying when you're playing a standard racer. However, in Wreckfest, the aim is to do precisely that, forcing opponents into walls or trying to make them spin out. There are tons of vehicles to choose from, including lawnmowers, believe it or not, and to win, you must be the last one standing. So, be prepared to do battle.
Xbox remains the home of racing games. And, what we’re seeing in 2022 is more variety being added in terms of different types of racers. It means that more gamers than ever will find a racing sim that appeals to them, from motorsports through to battle royale-type racing games.
