Coming off the back of the May Day event, International Museum Day has arrived in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In this short guide, we'll take you through all you need to know about the event and how to get your hands on Blathers' prizes!

How Do I Trigger The Event?

This event is the beginning of the wind-down to the first batch of announced planned updates. International Museum Day begins on May 18th and will run until May 31st, which leaves you plenty of time to tend to it on your island.

Upon booting up your island, Isabelle will greet you and mention that it is International Museum Day in her daily announcements. Following that interaction, head to your museum, whereupon speaking with Blathers he will give you a detailed run-down of the event and what is in store.

What Is The Event?

As previously stated, Blathers will give you a detailed run-down of what the event is. In the museum, you will find three stamp rally stations placed, one per gallery. So, you must fill in three stamps per station in your bug, fossil and fish galleries of the museum. Upon filling in a total of nine stamps, return to Blathers.

Once you return to Blathers, he will reward you with three prizes for your efforts. You will receive a prize for each of your galleries that you completed the stamps for. These prizes are special golden plaques. The fish plaque, the bug plaque and the fossil plaque. Each plaque can be kept by the player, put in their home as a decoration or sold to Nook's Cranny for 300Bells each.

Can I Repeat The Event In Following Days?

Yes, you can. However, you will gain little fruit from your efforts. Unfortunately, no matter how many times you re-do the event over the following days, you will only receive duplicate items to the ones that you received upon the first completion. So, unless you know someone who needs the items and cannot obtain them for themself, or you just want duplicates, there is little reason to re-do the event.

Once again, the event runs until May 31st, so there is no rush to get everything done. Take it at your own pace and enjoy your island breeze!
