Hey :) First of I'd like to start by saying, sorry for not being very active the last couple of days and here's the reason why-
What do you get if you mash up Littlebigplanet and Mario kart WII?... probably a pile of broken discs... sorry bad joke, Anywho I was actually speaking about the new PS3 game, Modnation racers.
It pretty much is the great fun gameplay of mario kart with the endless customisation and brill online features of Littlebigplanet stuck together, and its works so perfectly :D
Right. The BETA, I somehow managed to get my hands on this, although it was only supposed to be an american BETA and I'm in the UK :P But hey, I'm happy.
First off, it took quite some time to download the 2 Gig of game but as soon as it was installed I jumped right in after watching a funny intro I drove around the main menu, yes, thats right the main menu is called the "modspot" where you can drive around then branch off to do different things like, single player race, multiplayer race, create guys, karts, tracks and so on.
Since I love customisations I went straight into the create studio and created my first "mod" character, kart and track, although the beta does have only a tiny amount of objects and stickers for customisation, there was still tons of variety in all my creations :)
Aah, the online, just like on Littlebigplanet you can publish your creations (mods, karts and tracks) then download others and rate them or faourite them. Or if you want just, just go out there and race with others, which is great fun just like Mmario kart WII.
I think that just about covers the beta :D
In other news, the characeter compition thing, I think I will go ahead with it but I just need to ask a site mod about it, so, if there is a moderater or someone please say what you think (read last blog for info)
