Dubbed the Supaboy, this unofficial handheld will run old SNES cartridges. The device will launch in the United States, and should hit stores this summer, between June and August.
The Supaboy is still a prototype, and has a 3.5 inch LCD screen, a rechargeable battery that lasts about five hours during play and weighs 318 grams. The device also functions as a conventional console output to be connected to the TV, as well a slot for connecting an original SNES controller.
The Hyperkin is known for modifying consoles, and is also responsible for launching both the NES and a Sega Genesis portable devices. The price for the Supaboy has not been revealed as of this writing.

This has made my day for the rest of the weekend! not even the fact that i have to wear a damned suit to a wedding on sunday can kill this mood! woot!
I've never regretted selling off my old SNES games more than I do right now.
i was hoping it would be like the re-releases of the mega drive over here, where almost the entire library comes built in... if that was the case, i'd buy it.
That's pretty awesome. Those SNES cartridges over at GameTraders have been collecting a lot of dust...
You gotta be ****ing kidding me!
Will they release old SNES cartridges too? I want Donkey Kong :D
