Japanese Nintendo site reveals second wave of Amiibos

Nintendo’s Japanese Amiibo website has revealed 11 new figures in the product line. Coming in two waves, the first one containing Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager Pikachu, Kirby and Marth. The second wave, set to release on January 22, 2015 in Japan contains Lucario, Roselina, Bowser, Toon Link, Shiek, Ike, Meta Knight and King Dedede. Sonic, Shulk and Mega Man are listed for February 2015. No release date has been given for the American editions of this figures.

First announced as compatible figurines for Nintendo’s upcoming fighting game Super Smash Bros. Wii U the Amiibo figurines have becoming increasingly popular. Nintendo recently announced that other games will also be compatible with Amiibo such as The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 8, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and Yoshi’s Woolly World.

The first set of Amiibo figures are set to release on November 21 alongside Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U.
