Should You Buy a Wii U?

Is the Wii U worth purchasing?

By Grayshadow, Posted 05 Feb 2016

The Wii U hasn’t received the best publicity. Many criticize the system for its lack of power when compared to the PS4 and Xbox One, and the lack of third-party content. However the Wii U is still a great system worth attention. You’re probably unconvinced or you would’ve clicked on this post, so let me try and change your mind. After reading my argument perhaps you’ll agree that the Wii U is worth investing into.

Great First-Party Games

Nintendo,Mario Kart 8,Noobfeed,Wii U,

The Wii U may not have the latest Call of Duty game and it’s unlikely developers like DICE and Ubisoft will release many of their acclaimed games on the system due to it’s lack of power. However the Wii U more than makes up for this with its excellent first-party games. Titles such as Mario Kart 8, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Super Mario 3D World, Splatoon, and Super Mario Maker already make the system a must buy. Future games include The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Star Fox Zero, The Legend of Zelda (2016), and Pokken Tournament you’ve got a lot of great game options to choose from.

Reliable Network

Let’s face it one of the major concerns regarding a new game’s release is whether the online features will work. Nintendo has a surprising good track record with its games. While no dedicated voice chat system exist many of them feature little online issues when released. Microsoft and Sony on the other hand have experience many issues in the last year regarding their online networks, everything from DDoS attacks to unexpected outages. The Nintendo Network may be simple but it’s reliable.

Excellent Catalog of Digital Titles

Nintendo has some of the best classic games in their digitally market. Everything from NES titles to Nintendo GameCube games are available for you to download and play. If you missed on any of the classic Nintendo titles chances are it’s available for download on the eShop.

You Can Play Almost Anywhere

Wii U,Nintendo,Noobfeed,

Want to play video games but don’t have access to your television or monitor, use the GamePad. Yes that enormous device isn’t the best controller when using your television but as a close handheld device it’s fantastic. You can play any game on your Wii U from mostly anywhere in your home, the screen is bright and effective for personal use. Best of all you can watch television using the GamePad.

Have I changed your mind? Tell us in the comments below whether you still hate or now love the Wii U.
